About Kernel:

Our mission is to build your source of truth for enterprise intelligence, starting with empowering enterprise RevOps to improve go-to-market efficiency with AI.

RevOps teams have an impossible job when it comes to correcting the CRM data that AI (and reps!) need as context for decision-making. This is the problem we’re solving at Kernel.

We’re growing extremely fast and are working with many of the best RevOps teams in the world, such as Remote.com, Navan, Zip, GoCardless, Cognism, and many more.

We’re a team of second-time founders and have raised $15mm+ from top VCs and revenue leaders at Open AI, Slack, Snowflake, and MongoDB.

The Role:

  • We are looking for our first Talent Acquisition Specialist to work directly with our CEO (Anders) and Head of Ops and own the full recruitment life-cycle.

  • We are growing fast, and need someone to focus on bringing in exceptional people for each role we open up (Engineering, Product, Data, Operations, Sales).

  • We need someone to build robust referral networks and foster deep candidate pipelines.

  • Overall, we want someone who has a deep passion for talent acquisition and people, who also wants to contribute more broadly to building a rapidly growing startup.

  • During times of lower recruitment needs, we’ll need support with other operational tasks + HR responsibilities.

Important to Know:

  • Hours - This will be an exciting but intense job. Kernel is growing extremely fast, and hours can be long. You might have to do recruitment both in the UK and the US.

  • Working location - Minimum 4 days a week in the London office (Borough).

Responsibilities:

  • Proactive sourcing: You’ll be responsible for mapping potential candidates (both active and passive), and owning all outbound hiring activities across teams. (Engineering, Product, Data, Operations, Sales). This will be very bespoke, as you’ll try out lots of different approaches (LinkedIn, conferences, events).

  • Candidate assessment: You’ll translate Kernel’s specifications for candidates into an initial candidate review process.

  • Tool ownership: You’ll own our ATS, and you’ll be the administrative owner of all job postings.

  • Candidate experience: You will be the point of contact for candidates throughout their interview process, ensuring they remain engaged and well communicated with.

  • Pipeline ownership and strategic planning: You’ll own all hiring metrics, including time-to-fill, quality of hire, diversity metrics, and candidate and manager satisfaction. We value a critical and data-driven approach.

  • Talent acquisition enablement: You’ll coach other interviewers, build scorecards, and build the foundation of a broader talent acquisition team.

  • Employer brand ownership: You’ll own Kernel’s employer brand (creating content, attending relevant events, etc). You’ll also play an active role in sharing our overall brand, working closely with Marketing.

You’ll report directly to our Head of Finance and Operations and work closely with our founder and CEO.

Your Profile:

  • Strong sourcing skills - knowing what it takes to get great talent in at the top of the pipeline.

  • Deep understanding of the tech talent landscape in London.

  • Proven experience in talent acquisition with a track record of successfully hiring for high-performing teams, along with in-depth knowledge of all aspects of the recruitment process.

  • Proven experience in running recruitment marketing campaigns and building and growing employer brands.

  • Exceptional networking skills to build relationships with candidates, industry professionals, and external partners.

  • Ability to analyse recruitment metrics and data to inform decision-making and improve hiring strategies.

Your Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in Talent Acquisition/Recruitment.

  • Thorough experience with LinkedIn (ideally LinkedIn Recruiter) and ATS systems.

  • Comfort drafting and navigating employment contracts without support.

  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.

  • Fluency in English

Nice-To-Have:

  • Startup/scale-up experience is a plus.

What we offer:

  • Working directly with the founding team

  • Dinner: Free when working past 6 pm

  • Holidays: 24 days plus bank holidays

  • Base £40,000 - £60,000 depending on experience

  • Equity: Option grant on employee-friendly terms

  • Ability to work abroad for 2 weeks a year

Bots need not apply. If you're a human, include the number of high-value accounts that were added to Remote's CRM from using Kernel (in the Remote case study on our website) in your application.

Compensation Range: £40K - £60K
